Understanding gender responses, sexual health and sexual wellbeing is looking to better understand answers to Natsal-4’s survey questions about gender. Some people will also be asked about how gender has shaped their sexual health and wellbeing.
The private one to one interview with a researcher will last between 30 and 90 minutes and you can choose between a male or female interviewer. It will take place over the phone or by video call using Microsoft Teams, at a time and date convenient for you. As a thank you for your time at the end of the interview, you will receive a £50 Love2Shop voucher.
Key interview topics will include:
- How you answered specific questions in the Natsal survey on sex and gender
- Depending on your answers, you may also be asked about how your gender has shaped your sexual health and wellbeing.
Taking part is voluntary. You can say no or change your mind at any time. You can also withdraw your data from the study after you have taken part. You don’t need to give a reason and can withdraw up to 4 weeks after taking part. After that, it will not be possible as the transcript of your interview will be deidentified and cannot be linked to a person. The researchers will try to make the experience as comfortable and interesting as possible, but if you ever want to move on to another subject, take a break, or stop, then you can are welcome to tell the researcher. You don’t have to answer anything you don’t wish to.
